Though the place was little away from the city limits it did not deter the public from participating and enjoying the program in large numbers. In fact the large public participation has required the arranging of extra chairs outside the function hall and large-sized TV monitors televising the Pattimandram program.

In the morning good numbers of marriage aspirants have participated in the bride or groom introduction shooting of Thiru Kalyanamalai Mohan. The evening program started with a welcome address of Mrs.Meera Nagarajan the CEO and Executive Director of KM Matrimony. After the customary welcome address she drew the attention of all the participants about three problems that plague the progress of quicker marriages. She vented her worry about giving too much of importance to matching of horoscopes. She has suggested giving weightage to a single horoscope matching opinion instead of both the parents of bride and groom trying it with different astrologers. She hinted that such an understanding between the parents will assist in the happening of more number of marriages.

Secondly she voiced her concern about divorced or widower males opting to marry unmarried women. She suggested when they have reservations in marrying an unmarried woman at their home to a divorced or a widower male it is justifiable on their part to marry only a divorced or widowed woman. Every one assembled at the hall showed their appreciation with their hand claps.

Thirdly she appealed to the parents not to marry their son with masculine disability to a woman and shatter her marriage dreams. Mr. Nagarajan who talked afterwards explained how everyone in their family got married without giving much importance to horoscope.
